| Culture Corner: Pacific HG learns how the carabao has played an important role among Guam's homes & gardens...
The carabao has cultivated the land and provided transportation since being brought to Guam from the Philippines during the Spanish era (circa 400 years ago).
Nowadays they are used primarily for entertainment. And while these gentle giants are fewer in number, they remain an important part of Guam's culture. Special thanks to
Mr. JohnRay and his daughter Jourdene Aguon of Marquim Karetan Carabao. For more information on carabao rides...contact Mr. Aguon at 888-8806.
